Prof. Antoni Bayés Genís, new full academician of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia

From the iCor of Germans Trias we have no better way to start the new digital stage than by announcing the distinction of Professor Antoni Bayés Genís as a new permanent academic of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Catalonia.

The event took place in an extraordinary session last Sunday, February 16, in which Prof. Bayés Genís read his speech: “¿Quo Vadis, Cardiologia”? (Where are you going, Cardiology), accompanied by a notable representation of the Heart Institute. Prof. Vilardell was in charge of responding to Professor Bayés Genís’s opening speech.

Prof. Bayés Genís is the director of the Germans Trias Heart Institute (iCor), professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and director of the ICREC (Heart Failure and Cardiac Regeneration) research program. He has published more than 930 SCI articles and contributed to more than 650 national and international conferences.

Prof. Bayés Genís is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology and Deputy Editor of the European Journal of Heart Failure.
