Cardionet

Icor is part of the CARDIONET network, an initiative conceived and developed in Catalonia to promote collaboration between cardiovascular researchers. In particular, Cardionet is integrated by 25 research groups with experts at national and international level who develop their activity in the field of study of cardiovascular diseases in Catalonia. Formally, Cardionet is the name of the Working Group on Basic Research and Clinical Translation of the Catalan Society of Cardiology (SCC).

Historically, the creation of Cardionet was approved by the SCC Board Committee on June 12, 2017. According to the activities developed by the SCC and as extracted from the foundations of the Working Group, this network was created with the mission of promoting progress in the study, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases through closer collaboration between the different research groups which are dedicated to similar scientific activities in distinct research centres and hospitals throughout our geography.
